What is #ProjectSunshine?
After two years of failing to get approval from the City Power to install solar-powered lights on the streets of Diepsloot, Greenpeace Africa partnered with the community to build them  on the premises of the Diepsloot Philile creche. Project Sunshine is all about bringing clean and sustainable energy to communities that don’t have access to energy infrastructure.

Five reasons why you should donate to #ProjectSunshine?

#1 It is providing sustainable, clean energy which is free

#2 It can power off-grid communities

#3 Solar streetlights helps keep communities safer after dark

#4 It works even when Eskom has load shedding

#5 The project is educating communities about solar energy

We are on a crowdfunding[1] mission to raise R100 000 that will go to installing solar streetlights around the Diepsloot Philile creche.

Support this project NOW!

Your support to the project will prove that it is possible to bring sustainable energy to communities. It will raise awareness about renewable energy, and how it can sustainably power South Africa.

Make a contribution today to light up the streets!
